PRIVACY POLICY
Retro Arcade · Effective 23 October 2026
Retro Arcade is a collection of arcade games. You can play every game without an account. Signing in with Apple or Google is optional and lets you post your scores to the public leaderboards and keep them on all your devices. This policy explains what information the app handles and why.
Information we collect
- Your account, if you sign in (Sign in with Apple or Google — we never see your password): the email address and name your provider shares, the player name you choose, and a user ID. With Sign in with Apple you can hide your real email address.
- Game data: your best score and highest level for each game, so they sync between your devices. Your settings and recent scores are also kept on your device.
- Leaderboards: your player name, best score and level for each game appear on public leaderboards that other players can see. Your email address is never shown.
- Reports: if you report a player's name, we store the report (your user ID, the reported player and the name) so we can review it.
- Anonymous usage statistics: which games are played, scores, how long a game lasted, crash reports, and your device type, OS version and app version. These are sent without any device ID, advertising ID or account ID, and sessions can't be linked to you. You can turn this off in Profile → Settings → Share usage stats.
What we don't do
- We don't show ads, sell your data, or share it with data brokers.
- We don't track you across other apps or websites. The app contains no advertising SDKs, and our usage statistics are anonymous.
- The app doesn't access your contacts, photos, location, camera or microphone.
How we use it
Only to run and improve the app: signing you in, syncing your scores, showing leaderboards, keeping leaderboards free of abuse (for example, filtering offensive names and acting on reports), and understanding which games people enjoy and what crashes so we can fix it.
Service providers
Accounts and cloud scores are handled by Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore), which processes this data on our behalf. Anonymous usage statistics and crash reports are processed by Aptabase, a privacy-first analytics service. Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In are provided by Apple and Google under their own privacy policies.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your account data until you delete your account. You can delete it at any time in the app: Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your account, your cloud scores and your leaderboard entries. Scores stored only on your device stay there until you delete the app.
Children
Retro Arcade is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information. Use the in-app account deletion, or contact us for anything else.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and for significant changes we'll let you know in the app.
